Human Agency Map

This concept map describes the arising of conscious agency and that which it is able to apprehend, as well as best case scenario for how it may interact with the world, and what this may give rise to. It is an 'individual' in relation to 'collective' agency map. As with all maps in this project the aim is to transcend the limitations of linear text by representing the relationships between concepts diagramatically.

Definition of Terms used on this Map:

 

Nodes:

 

High level process;

Over-arching principles applicable to entities in the manifest universe at the meta-level.

Liberation from limitation;

Assisted transcendence to optimal functioning.

Whole systems integration;

Planetary meta-system alignment and integration.

Low level process;

Underlying reality-generative process, that upon which universal manifestation supervenes.

Source (unified field, potentiality);

"The whole" -- the undivided, indivisible ground of being; the all-pervading essence of form,

Information;

Structured, discernible difference which manifests within and moves between any medium that is capable of manifesting two or more distinguishable observables. Such a medium is termed an information space.

Spirit;

That which animates and informs the manifest universe.

Feedback;

Information received by a system as a result of the activity of the system through streams of self-reference.

feedback (process): An information stream that flows from a system, through a network of system interactions (where it is modulated along the way) and eventually converges back to the originating system.

feedback (object): An information package that a system receives that informs it about its interactions with other systems.

Practice;

That which is enacted in the physical realm, via either subjective or objective means.

Commitment;

An attitude of constant focus upon, and dedication to, a particular.

Transformation Facilitation;

The activity of supporting, encouraging and enhancing conscious transformative practices.

Embodiment;

Conscious enacting of the spiritualised life, realisation of the immanence of spirit in all that manifests as phenomena and form.

Mutual support;

Conscious co-enacting of generative relationship

Speaking from source;

Enacting a clear cognitive channel through which pure inspired thought can flow as required by circumstances as they arise.

Group participation in discovery of particulars from multiple perspectives, leading to meta-perspective.

Guidance;

Navigation aid; scaffolding of processes; access to wisdom; informs action.

Mediate;

Sustain a connection between points, or bridge the gap between them, by participating as the interaction between spirit and matter. 

 

Observable;

That which can be perceived by any means.

Self;

The assumed individual sentient being, the original object of consciousness.

Groups;

Any collective of individuals in any category.

Matter;

The results of the perceptual process objectifying into the world as form.

Appearances;

Objects of perception as they are apprehended by the senses.

Apprehension;

Sensory interaction with the objects of perception.

Interpretation;

Cognitive analysis of the sensory inputs.

Experience;

Direct psycho-somatic awareness in present time of sensory / perceptual phenomena.

Signals;

Electric current or electromagnetic field used to convey data from one place to another.

Data;

Information in raw or unorganised form (such as alphabets, numbers, or symbols) that refer to, or represent, conditions, ideas or objects.

Patterns;

Consistent and recurring characteristic or trait that helps in the identification of a phenomenon.

Emergent;

System characteristics or properties: in the process of coming into being or becoming prominent; arising unexpectedly or as a new or improved development; recently founded or newly independent.

Collective perception;

Multi-perspectival lens of cognitive objectification of phenomena. Apprehension of multi-dimensional view of manifest particulars.

Collective intelligence;

Multi-party source of processed information in the form of apprehended phenomena, represented as communication.

Collective intuition;

Multi-party capacity for receiving information direct from Source, group guidance, and/or mediation of spirit and matter.

Collective Homeostasis;

Optimal functioning of combined synthesised systems of living beings at all levels from microbial to planetary scale. Pre-requisite for next level of emergent sentient entity.

WE;

All of us, whether we are aware of it or not.

Competent Human Agents;

Community of the Adequate, trans-rational, trans-personal, consciously evolved beings dedicated to service

Those of us who are aware of the oneness of all life, and who dedicate their efforts to the benefit of all generations of all beings now and for all time.

SCENIUS;

The collective genius which can arise as a result of coherent group interaction. The intelligence and the intuition of a whole cultural scene.

 

Whole Systems, Information, Self and Groups are some places in the diagram to which we may be able to appropriately link other concept maps. This diagram is existential in nature, in the specific sense that it portrays the nature of existence and process, and humanity's potential role as inspired and empowered by spirit, from Source (aka God). It is not so much linked by hard descriptors to specific nodes and links on other maps, as describing what infuses all life, all work product at this level, and that which brings people to this work, in the deepest sense.

In the Chinese concept of humanity bridging Heaven and Earth, this diagram would be a 4-dimensional map of the relationships and processes among these three levels of being, and among and within humans.

In the practical organization and presentation of concept maps, I would put a short preface or introduction to what the website is about, to get people mentally geared up to be able to confront (apprehend and contemplate) and digest the diagram. Then the diagram. Below it, a simple acknowledgement of its immense scope, and that viewers may want to dwell on it and share about it before proceeding, and links to a place for sharing and contemplating life in light of what it teaches, and to the the more material content of the knowledgebase that needs to be built. Most of our concept maps, and detailed content, can find a home there. And this diagram could be there again, as the highest layer of (or hovering over) a taxonomical structure of knowledge layers, mapped to a literal map of the eco-regions and their ecosystems, and of the cultures of humanity.

One's ancestral eco-region and ecosystems, and culture, within the deeper context of spirit, are and have always been the ground of being for most of humanity. This kind of mapping, using Geographic Information Systems and digital earth imaging (e.g. Google Earth), seems to me to be the best way to hold wisdom, knowledge, information and data so that we may bridge the gap between it, and whatever part of the ground of being it represents, most gracefully. Put another way, we start by seeing where we are, by looking around and within us. Then we find the representation of where we stand in a map of heaven and earth, and of the structure of thoughts within it. Then we place our thoughts about the natural and social world around us, and from or about spirit, in the appropriate space in the digital representation of the map / thought structure.

We (and the rest of humanity) will be creating new versions of the thought structure as we go, because this is a major evolutionary step beyond current library and internet categorizing schemes. In addition, it will lead to a convergence of description, analysis, conception, planning, transformation, stabilizing, operating, maintaining, and recycling of resources in the world, which was isolated from humanity at large during industrialization, carried out by government, military, and business, from their zones of control. Time to bring it to the grass roots!
